Instructions

  1. Use the Blog Roll: Go to I-Learn>Course>Blog Roll to find classmates blog links.
  2. View ALL Blogs: Check out each classmate’s blog posts for their portfolio project.
  3. Add Comments: Add a meaningful comment on each blog.  Be sure to leave a meaningful paragraph (at least three sentences) and explain why you like their project.  Be sure to comment on their portfolio page. Note: There will be some students that have dropped the class, please do not stress about commenting on their blog.
  4. Insert Linkbacks: Include a linkback into 2 comments. This will help build your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and web presence. A linkback is simply when you add a link to another blog or website. Add a link to your own blog in one of your comments, then add a link to another classmate’s blog in your other comment.
  5. Submit Klout Score: Submit your current Klout Score and your Klout Score from the beginning of the semester.


Note: Be sure you view and comment on different blogs each week, until you have rotated through all your classmates’ blogs, then start over.


NOTE:  The following is new and will repeat each week…

  1. Open 5+ Tabs: In preparation to record a video, open at minimum, the following pages ahead of time so it makes the video recording go faster.

1. Your Klout account showing the “Measure” section
2. Your posts in the first social media platform you chose
3. Your posts in the second social media platform you chose

  1. Get Video Software Ready: You may record your video using any software, Google Hangouts: http://hangouts.google.com/onair

  1. Record Video:  Time limit: 4 minutes. As shown in the Sample Video above, showcase your Klout score, your Klout measurements, and your actual posts during your video. Go slow enough  so we can pause and view things to give you full credit for all your work.
  2. Completion: Click “start” below and paste in a clickable hyperlink to your video.
